Arizona Rec Center Holds ‘Stress Buster’ Days

TUCSON, AZ -- The University of Arizona’s student recreation center hosted a “Stress Buster Day” on Nov. 13, featuring free massages, cancer screenings and other health services, the Arizona Daily Wildcat reports.

The Stress Buster Day was open to any member of the university community, including faculty and administrators who do not have memberships, to use the student recreation center facilities. Other services included health food samples, chiropractic diagnostics, life and work connections, and rolfing, a type of massage.

The University of Arizona department of campus recreation began sponsoring Stress Buster Days this year to combat the additional stress caused by the economy and mortgage concerns, director Juliette Moore told the newspaper.

The department will continue to hold a Stress Buster Day once a month. The next Stress Buster Day is set for Dec. 4.
