Junior High to Hold Fitness Expo

CANYON COUNTRY, CA – Sierra Vista Junior High School (CA) will hold a Fitness Expo on March 28 to raise money to install interactive gaming equipment at its fitness center.

The school has a goal of raising $50,000 to complete the center. Last year, the school raised $20,000 and purchased a climbing wall, stationary bicycles, weight machines and other equipment.

With money raised from the Fitness Expo, the school plans to purchase Dance Dance Revolution platforms with TV monitors, a XaviX interactive fitness program with TV monitors, a V-Cycling Virtual Reality Theatre with TV monitors and a computerized fitness lab with heart rate monitors and a fitness assessment system.

Sierra Vista kicked off its fund drive earlier this month with a fitness demonstration at the school.
