YMCA Fitness Center in Need of Funds to Stay Open

BLOOMFIELD, IN—The Greene County YMCA, which has 200 members, is looking for additional funding to keep its fitness center open. The Y was founded four years ago with money from a grant, but the facility will need more financial support to continue operating the fitness center. The landlord agreed to give the Y two months of free rent, and a donor came forward with a $1,000 donation. “It’s definitely stirred up interest in the community, and all of our members are concerned that it’s going to close,” said Dave Roberts, executive director of the center.
