North Carolina YMCA Offers Free Fitness Classes to Members

LEXINGTON, NC -- The J. Smith Young YMCA changed its pricing structure to make fitness classes a part of the total membership package after surveying its members and studying other YMCAs across North Carolina. The change went into effect on June 1, and Jimmy Holshouser, executive director, said the Y has received a positive response.

“Everyone is interested in saving money and getting more for their dollars, and this new policy will definitely save our participants money, plus allow them to continue to take the classes they want to take,” he said.
