YMCA Awards 30 Grants

CHICAGO — To positively affect the health and wellness of individuals and communities, the YMCA and the Kimberly Clark Corp. awarded 30 grants totaling $300,000 to Ys nationwide. The grants are part of Kimberly Clark's $3-million pledge over the next two years to support the Y's Activate America initiative.

The YMCA awarded grants to the Alpharetta, GA, Y to provide funding for its Youth Fit For Life research-based program; the Farmington Hills, MI, Y for its Active Living for Teens program; and the Diamond Bar, CA, Y to help implement a curriculum for school-aged kids.
