YOKOSUKA, JAPAN -- More than 30 Sailors participated in the first Zumba Master class sponsored by the Wellness and Fitness Center at Fleet Activities Yokosuka on March 22.

Fleet Activities Yokosuka is the first naval base to get this opportunity to experience a Zumba Master class, says Debbie Deutsch, the event coordinator.

The Wellness and Fitness Center offers other types of events and classes on base such as fun runs, body building shows, aqua aerobics and abs express. They also coordinate half marathons once a month out in the community.

“This year, we have had a great turnout for all the events, and I’m very excited to add a new program for the sailors and their families to enjoy,” Deutsch says.
