Washington Y Kicks Off ‘Helping Kids Grow’ Campaign

EVERETT, WA -- The YMCA of Snohomish County in Washington kicked off its annual Invest in Youth Helping Kids Grow campaign in mid-February with a 2007 campaign goal of $812,000 to support the Everett, Marysville/North County, Monroe/Sky Valley, Mukilteo, and Southeast Family YMCAs and the Big Brothers Big Sisters branch. If the goal is reached, about 2,000 low-income children and adults would be able to participate in Y programs throughout Snohomish County, Al Boren, vice president of planning and development, told The Daily Herald.

The campaign will run through March 13. In 2006, the YMCA of Snohomish County provided approximately $1,381,375 in financial assistance to more than 4,607 people.
