The Sports Club/LA Moves East

LOS ANGELES—The Sports Club/LA is venturing out of California next year with its first club in Dallas. The new facility will be an 80,000-square-foot, $35 million luxury sports and fitness complex offering more than 30 sports and fitness options under one roof. The club will feature a lobby of stone and woods showcasing a reflection pool and three-story window wall, a 15,000-square-foot weight training gym, a 150-piece cardiovascular center with each piece of equipment featuring a personal TV and an NBA-size gymnasium with two basketball courts. It will also include the Sports Club/LA Fitlab, which provides health and fitness assessments. Other offerings include a nutrition center staffed with registered dieticians, a flexibility center, a for-kids-only child care center for members’ children and a junior-size Olympic swimming pool. Additionally, the facility will have four group exercise studios–each specially designed for the individual class format–including a REV Group Cycling Studio, a BodyArt Pilates/Gyrotonic Studio and a Yoga Studio offering eight types of yoga.

The Sports Club/LA in Dallas will also feature The Sports Club/LA Splash destination city spa and bodymind retreat, combining traditional spa services and rejuvenation therapies. A locker room concierge will be on hand for locker keys, fresh towels and sundry items. The Club will also feature an active wear boutique, The Sidewalk Café and
daily locker rooms and private executive locker rooms with lounges and personalized laundry service.

“These are just a few of the features that make The Sports Club/LA in Dallas a blend of the ultimate athletic and health club with the amenities offered by a world class resort. It is a true urban country club,” says Nanette Pattee Francini, co-founder of The Sports Club Co.
