Penn State Going Hands On
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA -- Penn State University is preparing to alter the access to its student fitness center. Instead of using ID cards, students will use a system that recognizes a person by the characteristics of their hand, according the Collegian.
West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, already uses a similar system at its student rec center. Because of some technological problems, however, Penn State is about two years away from using the new identification system.
