ClubSport A Kid's Club Within a Club
LAS VEGAS — ClubSport Green Valley recently unveiled Kid's World, a new 7,000-square-foot facility designed specifically to bring safe, supervised fun, fitness, play, and learning experiences to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
The $1 million-plus stand-alone building situated on the club's property was conceptualized by ClubSport and designed by Dahlin Group Architects. This “club within a club” for children is open and expansive, with separate areas for different age groups that will accommodate five times the number of children than the old facility, according to Christina Dort, a spokesperson for Leisure Sports Inc., ClubSport's parent company.
Cindy Maxion, interior designer for Kid's World, created a nautical theme inspiring imagination and creativity. Decorative murals, walls with portholes painted in translucent blue, lighting fixtures shaped like sea creatures, and a check-in desk resembling a big wave create a fun, colorful and stimulating environment. Play structures include a climb-through life-size boat and lighthouse that encourage physical activity through play.
“The equipment in the center is typical of what you would find in most child-care facilities — games, crafts, books for younger kids and table tennis, board games, trampolines for older kids,” said Dort. “The fitness program offered to the young members actually take place in the main club, typically in an exercise studio or utilizing equipment that is appropriate for the activity and training level.”
Kid's World will feature a varied and innovative menu of children's activities and programs for boys and girls of all ages. Summer camps, holiday camps, sports clinics, dance classes, birthday parties, themed special events, story time, music time, arts and crafts, swim lessons through the Australian Swim School, fitness programs, and homework helpers are examples of ClubSport's youth programs.
Upon the grand opening of Kid's World, ClubSport Green Valley family members will receive three complimentary hours of childcare per day, which means lots of fun for the kids and extra free time for mom and dad to work out and enjoy ClubSport's other facilities.
