True Fitness Outsources Production
St. Louis, Mo — TRUE Fitness is restructuring and consolidating its plant operations, the company announced last month. For the past 27 years, TRUE products were designed and built at the company's headquarters in St. Louis, MO, but now the company is moving its remaining fabrication operations to existing third-party manufacturers, effective next month. The company said that the domestic infrastructure that once supported the fitness industry has decreased significantly, causing the move. Although the less complicated component manufacturing will be outsourced, the company will continue to assemble products in St. Louis to ensure that all finished products meet the company's quality standards. All engineering and design functions will continue at the company's St. Louis headquarters.
