Second Shaq Sport Opens in Florida
SAN RAMON, CA—24 Hour Fitness opened a 24 Hour Fitness Shaq Sport last weekend with professional basketball player Shaquille O’Neal on hand. This facility, which is the second in a series of signature clubs opened by the club company and O’Neal, is located in Pembroke Pines, FL. A third Shaq club is scheduled to open in Texas before the end of the year.
O’Neal added his signature touch to the 44,000-square-foot club by including Miami Heat basketball memorabilia, his own voice inspiring members to keep their minds on the glory—and a shower large enough for the 7 foot, 1 inch Heat basketball player. The club also has an expanded Kids Club featuring video games, TVs, air hockey, basketball, a space maze and a toddler play area.
