MFA Introduces Medical Fitness Facility Certification

RICHMOND, VA -- The Medical Fitness Association (MFA) is now accepting applications for its new facility certification program. This is the first facility certification to be offered within the fitness industry and specifically for the medical fitness industry, which serves more than 3 million members nationwide.

The national launch of this certification follows a pilot program that was introduced in November 2007 and resulted in the certification being awarded to TriHealth Fitness & Health Pavilion in Cincinnati, OH; the Fitness Center at High Point Regional in High Point, NC; and Roseville Health & Wellness Center in Roseville, CA.

To qualify for certification, facilities must be an MFA member, have been in operation for a minimum of one year and meet stringent national standards and guidelines.
