Two Florida Health Clubs Hit By Back-to-Back Burglaries

PENSACOLA, FL—A thief recently sneaked past the front desk of two Pensacola, FL, health clubs, broke into members’ lockers with a bolt cutter and used their car keys to steal items from cars in the parking lot. During the two burglaries, which took place between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on July 27, the suspect stole purses, keys, credit cards, jewelry and an iPod from nine club members. A surveillance tape from shows a front desk employee turning her back to answer the phone, and a woman walking to the locker room with a gym bag. Investigators suspect this woman is the culprit, and the robberies are connected, according to a July 28 story in the Pensacola News Journal
