Jazzercise Implements Joining Fees

OVERLAND PARK, KS — To cover the cost of doing business, Jazzercise is now encouraging franchises to charge a joining fee. The amount charged is up to each Jazzercise franchisee.

In some cities the charges are $90, but Angie Ford, owner of the Overland Park, KS, Jazzercise center, said that facilities in her area are charging $75 . She viewed the joining fee as a way to prevent a substantial increase in the EFT price for her 500 members.

“At Jazzercise, we've never had joining fees or contracts, and we've reached a point where we're outpricing our monthly fee,” Ford said.
