HFC Shows Growth

MINNEAPOLIS — Health Fitness Corp. saw a 4.2 percent increase in revenue in the second quarter 2005, upping revenue to $13.6 million from $13.1 million during the same quarter last year. Gross profit for the quarter increased by 0.2 percent to $3.45 million. Net earnings applicable to common shareholders increased 5.8 percent to $498,183 from $470,754 for the second quarter 2004.

Jerry Noyce, president and CEO of the company, attributed the revenue growth to a 1.5 percent increase in the company's fitness management area of business and a 14.8 percent increase from its health management area of business. The company recently realigned its business to focus on expansion in the corporate management market, he said.
