HFC Acquires HealthCalc
MINNEAPOLIS — After serving as technology partners for a decade, Health Fitness Corp. (HFC) has acquired HealthCalc Network for $6 million. HealthCalc is a provider of Web-based fitness, health management and wellness programs to corporations, health care organizations, physicians and fitness centers.
HFC uses the HealthCalc Web-based system to track member usage and perform health and fitness assessments. As the company has expanded the focus of its health management capabilities with its customers, owning a technology platform became an important part of HFC's growth strategy, said president Jerry Noyce.
HealthCalc's 2005 revenues are projected to be about $2.5 million, of which $850,000 is attributed to HFC clients.
